Please join me in supporting the Down Syndrome Academy, (DSA). DSA is operated by Friends of Down Syndrome, (FODS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting the Down syndrome community. Their mission is to provide lifelong education and learning opportunities for teens and adults with Down syndrome through education, socialization, and community outreach.
DSA teaches a range of specific levels of developmental abilities. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, students rotate through the Academic & Elective Curriculum which consist of Math, Reading, Social Skills, Art, Music, & PE. Christine has attended there since June 2019.
DSA's main fundraiser is the Cinderella Ball on March 18, 2023. This evening is an opportunity for the students to celebrate their achievements and showcase their etiquette and waltzing skills for family and friends at an elegant formal event.
