📈 3. Give Gifts of Stock or Mutual Funds

Donating appreciated stock or mutual funds is a simple, tax-smart way to support our mission while potentially saving on capital gains taxes.

Because transfers can take several days to process, please initiate these gifts early — ideally by December 12, 2025, to ensure inclusion in this year’s total.

🏦 4. Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant directly to Friends of Down Syndrome.
Please ask your advisor to make checks payable to Friends of Down Syndrome (EIN 26-3412890).
DAF grants should be submitted by December 15, 2025, to count for this year.

💬 5. IRA Charitable Distribution

If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Friends of Down Syndrome — reducing your taxable income while helping adults with Down syndrome achieve their dreams.

Your IRA administrator can send the gift directly to:

Please notify us so we can confirm your contribution and properly acknowledge your generosity.

👩‍💼 6. Employer Matching Gifts

Double your impact! Many employers match charitable donations made by their employees.
Check with your company’s HR department or use your employer’s matching gift portal to search for Friends of Down Syndrome (EIN 26-3412890).
